Three random paragraphs and a short statement.

purply.jpg Happy Independence Day!

1) I love love love today. Patriotic music and barbecue smells everywhere! It’s a hot day, so I’m sitting inside cleaning and taking breaks with the intrawebs. I have no real plans for today except to go out to see Elvin Killerbee tonight. I know Seth and I will go and get fireworks, but I don’t know where we’ll play with them. There are a few options that mostly depend on other people. I know I want a margarita. Yes!

2) I really hope I won’t be going out tonight alone. It sounds like that may be the case. Hm. Well, even if I do go out alone, I’ll be out and not really alone anyway. I doubt it. She’ll go. We’ll have fun. Tomorrow we’ll regret having so much fun, but it will probably be funny.

3) I found out some stupid shit about a supposed friend and her real intentions regarding her ’surprise visit’ Sunday. I’ve been ignoring her (millions of) calls and I got a new number anyway, so I may not have to speak to her again. If I wanted friends like her, I’d go back to high school. No thanks! I hope she decides to stay where the hell she is from now on.

4) I need a new job. Life sucks when you’re broke.

(about a boy)There’s this girl…

June 22nd, 2008 by Tabatha

… and I really like her. We seem to have a lot in common and I want to hang out with her. But she talks about him. He whom I’ve spent the last year unsuccessfully trying to forget about. The boy I happily deleted from my phone only to spend an hour rummaging through my desk for his phone number a month later. The boy I actually can’t go a whole day without thinking about multiple times; even in my sleep; even when I’m with someone else. The only thing holding me back from what seems like a really decent friendship is him. Thanks for somehow having the power to infiltrate my life from 2486 miles away without actually being a part of it.

mm sangria.

I’ve decided to find Lucy a home where she can be happier and more appreciated. We’re cat people around here and while we love her, she’s a lot of stress to us which leads to a lot of stress on her and it goes on and on and…. anyway. My boss knows someone who may want her and I made a post on Craigslist. I’m really going to miss her. Really really. after this, I think I will avoid that dog urge until I own a house with a fenced yard and all that good for dogs stuff. Until then… cats.

I’m lonely. Even when I’m with people lately, I’m lonely.

I saw an old friend night before last at probably the last place I’d expect to see an old friend. When I say old friend, I’m talking about 10 years ago. Yes. Childhood friend. It’s neat. He’s still really the same and I’m not sure if that’s a good or bad thing yet. I plan to hang out with him and find out!

Someone almost talked me into something last week. I am so strong. And vague. Strong and vague.

Lastly, I don’t have time for art anymore. I do a bunch of time-wasting bullshit. Woe.

It’s getting better

February 18th, 2008 by Tabatha

I’m getting more and more used to working again. It’s almost embarrassing how used to not working I was. Today was nice, though. It’s my day off and I did nothing all day. I stayed in my pajamas and watched HBO. The Lake House, Just My Luck and Accepted came on. That actually took up most of the day.

After Just My Luck, Seth and I went and got ice cream and milkshakes. Mmmm chocolate milkshake. Mmm.

Tomorrow I work from 9:30a ’til 3:30p. pretty decent hours. I don’t have to get up terribly early and I don’t have to drive at night. I’m catching on to things at work. I don’t feel like such a dumb ass anymore. It’s going to work out, I think. I hope my manager feels the same way.

I think Jenn and Tommy are going to visit during Spring Break. I can’t wait! I have to find so much stuff to do, otherwise it will be ridiculously boring here. I’m thinking of setting up tours of the local wineries. I’ve lived around here all my life and I’ve never been inside them. I guess it wouldn’t have been a whole lot of fun, anyway.
